Peer Review

Economic Research and Management Decisions adheres to the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines during the peer review process.

Manuscripts submitted to the editorial office of Economic Research and Management Decisions undergo double-blind peer review (reviewers are not aware of identities of the authors and vice versa). Anonymity is guaranteed throughout the entire review process.

Each manuscript shall be reviewed by two independent experts in the relevant field of study. In certain cases, such as when reviewers’ decisions conflict, the manuscript shall be referred to a third reviewer; subsequently, the final decision shall made by the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board members.

Reviewers shall be selected by the Editor-in-Chief and members of the Editorial Board.

The review period takes up to 1 month.

Additionally, the editorial workflow includes an initial screening of the manuscript, selection of reviewers, revision of the article by the authors based on the reviewer and the Editorial Board recommendations, and, in some cases, re-reviewing.

Manuscripts shall be evaluated for their compliance with the journal’s scope, research relevance, novelty, and practical value.

The reviewer shall provide recommendations and comments on the content of the article (if any) and, as a conclusion, render one of the following decisions:

  1. The article is recommended for publication.
  2. The article may be recommended for publication after the comments are addressed.
  3. After substantial revision, the article must undergo a re-review.
  4. The article is not recommended for publication (reject).
