To the Authors

Authors bear full responsibility for the material submitted to and published in Economic Research and Management Decisions (including figures, tables, photographs, and other third-party materials, etc.).

The reference list shall include at least two publications from international indexed journals (Scopus, Web of Science).

Regardless of the results of the initial review, an article may be rejected or returned for revision at any stage of the workflow upon the discovery of gross errors, extensive borrowing (plagiarism), or erroneous citations.

Manuscript materials shall be submitted through the OJS platform on the journal’s website.

Within this system, authors can track the status of their manuscript throughout the entire process.

Recommendations for authors prior to submitting an article

to Economic Research and Management Decisions

 

Articles shall correspond to the stated aims and thematic scope of the journal Economic Research and Management Decisions.

The research material presented in the manuscript shall be new, original, and not previously published elsewhere.

The manuscript shall be structured according to IMRAD. All sections shall be logically consistent and interconnected, allowing readers to clearly understand the research problem, objectives, methodology, results, conclusions, and significance of the study for managerial decision-making (development, justification, improvement, practical application, etc.).

The manuscript shall include a description of methods used for data analysis and processing, as well as results of their application, ensuring validity of conclusions and recommendations for managerial decision-making.

The research shall be complete and its objectives shall be achieved. The authors’ conclusions shall be well-grounded and shall not contain generalizations reflecting commonly known results.

The manuscript text shall be written in an academic scientific style.

 

Article Formatting

Length: 7 to 15 pages (including references), Microsoft Word.

Margins: 25 mm top and bottom; 20 mm left and right.

Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt.

Line spacing: Single.

Headings alignment: Centered.

Text alignment: Justified.

Paragraph indent: 0.8 cm.

Section titles (“Abstract,” “Keywords,” “Introduction,” “Materials and Methods,” “Results,” “Discussion,” “Conclusion,” “Funding Information” (if applicable), “References,” “Author Information,” “Author Contributions,” “Conflict of Interest”) must be formatted in Times New Roman 11 pt, centered.

Abstract (in English, Kazakh, Russian) must follow IMRAD structure and include:

- Introduction, research problem

- Research objective

- Materials and methods

- Results, discussion, conclusion

- Significance and recommendations

Length: 200–250 words.

Keywords. At least 5 key terms or short phrases used in the article.

Introduction. Presentation of the research problem, relevance, and literature review. Demonstration of existing research in the field, critical analysis of prior studies, comparison of different authors’ views, identification of research gaps, justification of relevance and novelty, rationale for topic selection, and a clear statement of research objectives. References to international (English-language) sources indexed in Scopus, Clarivate Analytics, etc., must be sufficiently included.

Materials and Methods. Detailed description of materials, research object/subject, and methods used, including data collection, processing, and analysis techniques.

Results. Presentation of results using statistical data, tables, graphs, and figures. Consistency in symbols and notation must be maintained. The results must clearly correspond to the article title.

Discussion. Interpretation of results, highlighting scientific novelty and contribution to global science. Evaluation of reliability, including comparison with existing studies.

Conclusion. Well-reasoned conclusions addressing research objectives, confirmation or rejection of hypotheses, and evaluation of scientific novelty and practical significance.

Funding Information (if applicable). Description of funding sources, grant numbers. If none, this section may be omitted.

References. Must follow APA 7 format and correspond fully to the text. Include DOI links where available. In-text citations: (Author, Year), e.g. (Romer, 2022), (Hausmann et al., 2024). With page numbers: (Marchart, 2019, p. 56). Multiple sources separated by semicolons and ordered by year. Non-English sources must be transliterated. Sources must be numbered as such: (1), (2), etc. Unpublished works are not allowed. Authors are responsible for accuracy of references. Fabricated or AI-generated references are considered a violation of academic integrity.

Brief description of each co-author’s contribution to conception, scientific design, execution or interpretation of a study and creation of the article. This eliminates authorship disputes and facilitates cooperation.

Formatting of Figures, Tables, and Formulas

Figures

Must be clear (not scanned), numbered consecutively, referenced in text immediately before with (Figure 1), and captioned. No numbers for single figures. Caption format (centered, Times New Roman 10 pt): “Figure 2. Title” (no period at the end). Notes below figures (Times New Roman 9 pt, italic, left-aligned): “Note: Compiled by the author based on modeling results or Compiled by the author based on (Prokin, 2017).” Leave a single empty line both before and after figure.

Tables

Must be editable (not scanned or images), numbered consecutively, referenced in text immediately before with (Table 1). No numbers for single tables. All tables must have titles. Title format (left-aligned, Times New Roman 10 pt): “Table 2. Title” (no period). No empty cells allowed. Notes below tables (Times New Roman 9 pt, left-aligned, no paragraph indent): “Note: Compiled by the author based on modeling results or Compiled by the author based on (Prokin, 2017).” Leave a single empty line both before and after table.

Formulas

Must be referenced in text (e.g., Formula (1)), centered, with number aligned to the right. Variables must be explained immediately after the formula (no paragraph indent).
